A Little History
Cinco de Mayo celebrates the anniversary of the Battle of Puebla. On May 5, 1862, Mexican forces declared victory French forces at the Battle of Puebla in Mexico. This victory symbolized Mexico’s resilience against foreign occupation. Today, we celebrate Cinco de Mayo all over the nation, showing support and Mexican pride for those living in the U.S.
